Good Morning,

In reviewing the SIs again this morning for the race, are we sure we can leave West River G1 to Port?

In the SI, the course is documented as

"START --> West River Markers 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 plus the white shoal mark between Markers 3 and 5 shall be passed on the channel side.

Leave to starboard: West River G1A. Leave to Port: West River G1 --> 83A"

Are we sure we can leave West River G1 to Port?

FYI, that the SI’s were intentionally leaving green one to Port, so not to require racers to go out in the middle of the bay before they head south.

Disregard. Amendment withdrawn.

Racers do not need to honor the West River G1 mark to starboard. You can leave to port.

It seemed many in the fleet honored G1 - we followed Sea Chalet who honored it. Oh well.

Sorry for the confusion. The SIs were correct. I should not have tried to change anything. Apologies.

No worries.  It was a great day to be out there racing yesterday.   Everyone covered that extra distance pretty quickly.
