For those who have been in Women Underway since the beginning, some sad news that Joyce McGehee posted on her Facebook page. Joyce and Bob were HHSA members and owned a 36' Dufour, s/v Harmony. Joyce was committed to WU and the HHSA until they moved to Jacksonville, FL around 2015. Joyce wrote WU newsletter articles, helped organize and attended most gatherings for a year or so, and organized the first all-women day sail in 2011 which included a "fun race!" The attached group photo was at a Land Cruise in 2014.
"I'm reaching out to friends...to let you know that my dear Bob suddenly had a heart attack and passed away on March 24th. It has been a complete shock. Shadow the dog and I are coping as best we can. Our family, my chorus, our neighbors, our church, and friends are sustaining me with everything I need. I love you all.
